The Anson B. Nixon Park is located on North Walnut Street, off State Street in the Borough of Kennett Square and Township of Kennett, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Comprised of 82 acres, the park has a new entertainment pavilion, permanent restroom facilities; children's playground; 5 pavilions with picnic tables, barbecues and electricity; 4 walking trails; 2 sand and 2 grass volleyball courts; 2 tennis courts; 2 bocce ball courts; 18 holes of disc golf; and 2 ponds, stocked for fishing (PA fishing license required for age 14 and over).
The Park is open 7 am to sunset for picnics and recreation. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics to enjoy the outdoor entertainment that is provided from time to time.
Directions to Park:
The Anson B. Nixon Park is located in the northeast quadrant of the
Borough on N. Walnut Street. As you enter the Borough on State
Street, turn right at the bottom of Miller's Hill (across from H&R
Auto Repair and just before the new YMCA) onto N. Walnut Street.
Proceed approximately 1/4 mile and turn left into the park. There is
a map of the park on the kiosk in the parking lot.
