Street Jugglers Entertain Crowd during the Mushroom Festival

Kennett Square is the Mushroom Capital of the World and home to The Mushroom Festival every year in September.  And, you won't want to miss the Kennett Square Microbrew Festival in October that offers tastings of regional finely crafted microbrews.

Kennett Square is situated in the beautiful Brandywine Valley in southern Chester County, about three miles west of world-renowned Longwood Gardens. Many of the homes and buildings in the Borough are historic and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Underground Railroad was in operation here and tours are available. A Walking Tour of Kennett Square is a delightful way to spend a Saturday afternnon.  We invite you read more about our history.

This small town offers plenty of cultural and recreational activities and combines elements of tradition with a commitment to revitalization. So come and walk the tree lined streets of our downtown business district and enjoy browsing, dining and shopping in our many delightful stores and restaurants. Its all just an easy stroll and there is plenty of convenient parking in our lots and parking garage. Visit Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau and plan the perfect trip to Kennett Square.
